Where ever possible we endeavor to provide quotations over estimates.
When thinking about having any work carried out
it is always wise to ask for a quotation. A quote is binding in law, it is a
fixed price for a detailed amount of work. The only time you should pay more
than a quoted price is when extra work has been undertaken. 
An estimate is exactly what it says, a builder may provide an estimate of £1500.00 and the final bill could be double that. This could be due to unforeseen circumstances, material price rises, unexpected local parking restrictions, etc. etc. you could even be charged for loss of time due to bad weather.
If, due to the nature of the work, we are unable to offer a quotation, all work will be carried out to an agreed hourly rate.
